Unsere Bewertung
Fast, easy chat-based site building for simple projects, held back by credit-driven costs, non-refundable payments and limited hosting portability.

- Wegic AI website builder
Wegic is an AI website builder that works by conversation: you describe the site you want to an AI assistant, it generates a multi-page, mobile-friendly website, and you make changes by chatting rather than dragging blocks around. This Wegic review covers how it works, what the plans cost today, how its credit system and refund policy affect the real price, what users and reviewers report, and who it suits. The short version: Wegic is genuinely fast for simple sites, but credits, a strict no-refund policy and limited hosting portability mean you should start with the low-cost trial before subscribing.

Wegic review: our verdict in brief
Wegic is a good fit for freelancers, small businesses and side projects that need a landing page, portfolio or brochure site quickly and are happy to keep it on Wegic's hosting. It is not a good fit for full online stores, for people who revise their site constantly, or for anyone who wants the freedom to move their site elsewhere later. Treat the trial as your test, and read the refund terms before paying for a plan.
How we researched this review
We read Product Hunt user reviews, in-depth reviews from Work Management, BestGuide, Ecommerce Paradise and How To Tech Info, a comparison piece from a rival builder, and Wegic's own homepage and pricing page. We did not build a site with Wegic ourselves, so experiences are credited to the reviewers and users who report them. Ecommerce Paradise discloses affiliate links, and the rival builder's review promotes its own product.
How the Wegic builder works
Wegic AI website builder
You start by chatting with Wegic's AI assistant about your business, the look you want and the pages you need. Ecommerce Paradise says it generates a complete, responsive site in about 60 to 90 seconds, then you refine it through further prompts. Work Management notes recent additions such as restoring earlier versions, voice input, comment-based editing on the page and downloadable website code, and says premium users can connect their own domain.
Who is behind it? BestGuide says Wegic is headquartered in Singapore with more than 2.5 million users, while its terms identify the contracting company as Instant Design, LLC, with Delaware law and arbitration governing disputes.
Pricing
Wegic charges through credits: every AI action, from generating a site to making edits, uses them. Its current pricing page lists two subscription tiers:
| Plan | Price | Billing | Limits | Trial |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Trial Pack | $2.99 (Work Management) | One-time | One full website generation | This is the trial |
| Starter | $20/mo (Wegic pricing) | Not stated on the page | Publishing on a permanent .wegic.net address during the subscription | Trial Pack first |
| Premium | $35/mo (Wegic pricing) | Not stated on the page | Adds a custom domain | Trial Pack first |
Prices have moved around. How To Tech Info quoted Starter at $39.90 a month, or $23.90 a month billed annually, and Premium at $69.90 a month, or $41.90 a month billed annually, so check the price at checkout. Work Management says Starter included 600 credits a month and up to 10,000 visitors, while Premium included 2,000 credits a month, unlimited visitors and the option to buy extra credits.
Credits are where costs creep up. BestGuide reports that leftover credits expire when each month's billing cycle ends, free sites stay online for only 7 days, and going over a plan's visitor cap makes the site inaccessible. Ecommerce Paradise adds that credits are used even when an AI edit does not come out right, so budget for retries.
Refunds are the biggest risk. BestGuide says payments for the Trial Pack, plans and renewals are non-refundable and credits cannot be refunded or cashed out, and that Wegic's own FAQ says you cannot move hosting elsewhere.
What users say
On Product Hunt, Wegic holds 4.2 out of 5 from 25 reviews. Users praise how quickly it produces landing pages and small multi-page sites, its clean interface and conversational editing, and call it a time-saver for non-designers and small teams.
The criticism is pointed. Product Hunt reviewers mention long waits between adjustments, edits that do not always do what was asked, unclear limits between free and paid use, and prices they felt were too high for what they got. One complained there is no free trial and no refund even after only a few minutes of use.
Security & data
The sources say little about how Wegic handles your data. None describes its data-retention period, whether your prompts or content are used to train AI models, or any security certifications. BestGuide notes the company's terms put disputes into arbitration under Delaware law. Read Wegic's privacy policy and terms before uploading client material, and keep your own copy of important content, since moving hosting is restricted.

Who it's for
Wegic suits freelancers who need a portfolio fast, local service businesses that want a professional brochure site, and founders testing a landing page for an idea. It works best when the site is fairly simple and you will not be making large changes every week.
Skip it if you need a full online store with catalog and checkout, want to keep full control of your hosting, or prefer predictable pricing without credits. For other AI tools we have reviewed, see our MuleRun review and our WaveSpeedAI review.
Alternatives
| Alternative | What it offers | Price | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Forgelo | Conversational builder with edits included on every tier | $9, $19 or $39 per month (Forgelo) | People who want simple pricing without metered AI edits |
| Framer | AI-assisted design and publishing, promoted on Wegic's Product Hunt page | Not stated in sources | Designers who want more hands-on control |
| A traditional drag-and-drop builder | Templates and manual editing | Not stated in sources | Owners who want full control and portability |
Our ratings
Overall: 3.5/5, because Product Hunt users and Work Management found Wegic fast and easy for simple sites, while credit-based costs, non-refundable payments and limited hosting portability hold it back.
Wegic AI website builder: 3.5/5, since BestGuide confirms a cheap trial and quick results but warns of non-refundable payments and expiring credits.
FAQ
Is Wegic free?
Not really. You get some free credits for talking to the AI assistant, but generating a site needs the paid one-time Trial Pack, and free sites stay online only briefly.
How much does Wegic cost?
The Wegic pricing page currently lists $20/mo for a plan with a permanent .wegic.net address and $35/mo for a custom domain. Earlier reviews quoted higher prices, so confirm at checkout.
Do Wegic credits roll over?
No. Reviewers report that leftover credits expire when each month's billing cycle ends.
Does Wegic offer refunds?
Reviewers report that payments are non-refundable, including the trial, plans and renewals, and credits cannot be refunded. Read the current terms before you pay.
Is Wegic good for SEO?
It produces mobile-friendly, multi-page sites and the higher plan adds analytics and a custom domain, which help. Reviewers suggest checking SEO controls yourself during the trial before relying on it for search traffic.
Is Wegic legit?
Yes. It is a real AI website builder with millions of users according to reviewers, but its strict refund policy and hosting lock-in mean you should start small.
